NAKAMURA GANJIRŌ — MYŌSEKI
Nakamura Ganjirō
Nakamura Ganjirō is the principal hereditary name of the Narikomaya (Ganjirō) house, whose art is the Ganjirō Jūnikyoku, gathering the signature roles of Ganjirō I. According to the Kabuki Actor Directory, the current holder, the fourth, is the eldest son of Sakata Tōjūrō IV; he took the name at the Osaka Shōchikuza in January–February 2015 as Izaemon in Kuruwa Bunshō.
He made his stage debut in November 1967 at the Kabukiza as Ichimanmaru in Kōbai Soga, under the name Nakamura Tomotarō, and took the name Nakamura Kanjaku V at the Nakaza in Osaka in January 1995 as Chūbei in Fūinkiri (Kabuki Actor Directory).
