NAKAMURA JAKUEMON — MYŌSEKI
Nakamura Jakuemon
Nakamura Jakuemon is the principal hereditary name of the Kyōya house. According to the Kabuki Actor Directory, the current holder, the fifth, is the second son of Jakuemon IV; he took the name at the Kabukiza in March 2016 as Tokihime in Kamakura Sandaiki and Yukihime in the Kinkakuji scene of Gion Sairei Shinkōki.
He made his stage debut in February 1961 at the Kabukiza as the village child Akashi in Hitofuri Ken, under the name Ōtani Hiromatsu I, and took the name Nakamura Shibajaku VII in September 1964 as Ohiro in Imoseyama Onna Teikin (Kabuki Actor Directory).
